Mixed media artist Paim, also known as Paiman has been studying, teaching and working as a creative director in the field of advertising, multi-media and education for the past 20 years. He escaped from Iran after the revolution at the age of twelve, grew up in Germany and for the last thirty-five years lives in San Francisco, Bay Area.
From an early age, he was exposed to the arts that stimulated him to explore and express his passion for painting, music and writing. Paim’s abstract mixed-media paintings are an intersection of digital and traditional art created through his unique vision. One of his foremost passions is to teach and inspire young minds to tap into their creative wells.
Paim believes art like beauty is in the eye of the beholder. He finds small openings of inspiration and peace in this busy life by reconnecting with nature, movement, and sound. Simple found objects, shapes, & colors that go unnoticed in everyday life are a source of his creative process.
“As my hand glides across the canvas, my mind briefly leaves my body. I become a piece of my art. I escape and get lost in the process of creating. My art is highly personal and shows how I see the world through my experiences. It is the extension of my personality and imaginative ideas that I try to communicate with an audience to provide a deeper understanding of self-awareness.”
